Omaha, August 15, 2018 — Inc. magazine revealed today that Flywheel, the WordPress hosting and management platform headquartered in downtown Omaha, is No. 344 on its 37th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
In addition to being 344th in America, Flywheel is Nebraska’s fastest-growing company in 2018. 24 other Nebraska-based companies made the list.
“Every single Flywheel customer and member of the team has contributed to this success, and I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and the opportunities we will create in the years to come,” stated Dusty Davidson, CEO and co-founder of Flywheel. “Truthfully, the last three years have been filled with hard work and audacious goals, but the real story is that we’re just getting started! That’s what makes me more excited than anything.”
Inc. 5000 measures success by how much a private company has grown in three years. From 2014-2017, Flywheel had a 1,445 percent increase in growth rate, and $8.8M in total revenue in 2016.
Flywheel’s team has also grown exponentially in the past three years. They have hired 66 new team members in 2018 alone, which brings the company total to nearly 175 people.
Flywheel is especially honored to join this list of notable companies because this year’s list as a whole shows staggering growth compared to prior lists. The 2018 Inc. 5000 achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 538.2 percent, and a median rate of 171.8 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $206.1 billion in 2017, accounting for 664,095 jobs over the past three years.
