The company was started by Jason Cohen, an experienced technologist and serial entrepreneur, who develops and refines WP Engine’s technology roadmap in his CTO role:

- Growth – for 5 sites – from USD $115 month
- Scale – for 15 sites – from USD $290 month
- Custom – for large businesses and mission-critical sites.
All plans come with the Genesis framework and over 35 StudioPress themes.
Enterprise customers on custom plans have access to a security product called Global Edge Security, which was launched in November 2018 in partnership with CloudFlare.
